The Thinking Partnership Course

for 1:1 interactions / coaching

A powerful self-development practice and regarded as essential coaching and leadership expertise. Two people generating thinking space, one as the ‘Thinker’ and one as the listener - the ‘Thinking Partner’.

  • Immerse yourself in a Thinking Environment, as a Thinker, to experience fully independent thinking

  • Observe, experience and practice how to become a Thinking Partner to enable someone else to think for themselves

  • Discover the nature of assumptions and how to help a Thinker free their mind of untrue limiting assumptions to find clarity and new insights.

  • Integrate what you learn to listen differently to your clients, colleagues, friends and family.

Course dates: 2025

  • February 4-5, 13-14, 27-28

  • April 8-9, 15-16, 28-29

  • July 10-11, 17-18, 29-30

  • October 1-2, 8-9, 23-24

(6 sessions)

  • Typically 6 half-day online sessions using Zoom: 2 sessions per week + practice time in between sessions OR

    3 full days in-person: 2 days / break for practice / 1 day.

  • Typical timing for online: 9.00am – 1.00pm Pacific time (flexible to suit time zones).

    For in-person training: usually 9am to 5pm Pacific time

  • $1850 CAD. Your investment includes one pre-course 1:1 Thinking Session with Hazel as your Thinking Partner and post-course review/CPD workshop.

  • This course is experiential learning at its best. It is highly participative, so you will experience what you learn and learn what you experience. You will have the opportunity to think, for yourself, about topics that matter to you, so I encourage you to bring real issues and challenges to think about.

    Groups are small (2-4 ppl) for psychological safety and maximum engagement.

    Visuals, like PowerPoint slides, are mainly used to share quotes, or highlight key features.

    Course materials are provided for reference at different stages of the course. You are encouraged to create your own learning notes throughout the course.

    We will take regular breaks and agree what works for all of us at the start of each session.

  • Group size: 2-6 people. The groups are deliberately kept small for psychological safety and maximum participation.

The Foundation Course

for group meetings / facilitation

Imagine everyday gatherings and communications being energizing, productive experiences that generate the best from everyone present.

  • Learn how to help groups think independently and creatively together, using 4 building blocks to create a Thinking Environment

  • Discover a variety of ways to apply the Thinking Environment to create a more powerful impact in the workplace and beyond e.g. to meetings, presentations, facilitation, problem solving/group coaching, resolving disagreement

  • Observe a 1:1 Thinking Session and the benefits of a thinking culture for groups and organizations

  • Integrate what you learn immediately into your daily practices to support teams/colleagues at work and become a better listener with friends and family.

  • $1250 CAD

  • This course is highly participative, so you will experience what you learn and learn what you experience. You will have the opportunity to think about how to apply the processes and practices to the specific groups/organizations you work with, to transform everyday group experiences for immediate and lasting results.

    Open course groups are small (4-6 ppl) for psychological safety and maximum engagement.

    Visuals, like PowerPoint slides, are mainly used to share quotes, or highlight key features.

    A course workbook is provided for reference and you are encouraged to create your own learning notes throughout the course.

    We will take regular breaks and agree what works for all of us at the start of each session.

  • For an open course the group size is typically 4-6 people. The groups are deliberately kept small for psychological safety and maximum participation.

    It is possible to accommodate larger numbers for in-house teams - please contact me to discuss your needs for a bespoke program.

Thinking Partnership and Foundation course questions

  • Please contact me and I’ll arrange a time for us to introduce ourselves and send you a registration form.

  • I accept payment in Canadian dollars, via Wise. This is a secure and low cost way to transfer funds between us. It’s quick to register with Wise to set up the transfer - details will be on your invoice.

    If you are in Canada, you are always welcome to e-transfer if you prefer.

    Payment is due 4 weeks before the course start date.

  • You are welcome to pay in installments.

    I never want finances to get in the way of accessing the learning so bursary places may be available for individuals - please ask.

  • Yes, subject to demand.

    Courses will be held locally - around the Vancouver area, British Columbia, Canada. Please ask.

  • Groups are small - typically 2-6 people, so if you are not able to attend all the dates please let me know so I can allocate your place to someone else.

    No refunds for cancellations within 2 weeks of the course start date.

    I appreciate plans sometimes need to change at the last minute, so let’s talk if this happens and we’ll work something out.
